Kick off EACL 2026 with an evening of conversation, connection, and celebration in beautiful Rabat. Join fellow researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders as we begin the conference together.

Event schedule

  • 18:00 – Doors open
    Arrival, registration check-in, welcome drinks, and light canapés served.

Reception details

  • Light canapés will be served throughout the evening.
  • Each registered attendee will receive one complimentary drink ticket.
  • Additional beverages will be available.
  • Guest and on-site registration will be available at the venue.

Transportation

Shuttle buses will run from a central location in Rabat to the conference center before and after the reception. Please check the updated transportation schedule on Whova or the official conference website for the latest pickup times and details.

Beat the rush – register early

Register early to avoid delays and make the most of the evening. Arrive early and enjoy the beautiful park located just across the street from the venue before the reception begins.

Evening program

  • 18:30 – 18:45 Arrival & Welcome
    Shuttle arrival from the conference venue. Welcome drinks and gathering in the Sofitel’s stunning gardens.
  • 19:00 – International Moroccan Buffet Opens
    Enjoy a rich and diverse Moroccan-inspired international buffet.
    Each registered attendee will receive one complimentary drink ticket.
  • During dinner – Live local Moroccan music
    Experience traditional Moroccan music performed live throughout dinner.

Cultural Experiences & Entertainment

Following dinner, enjoy authentic Moroccan experiences, including:

  • Moroccan tea service
  • Henna artists
  • Traditional calligraphers
  • Local Moroccan entertainment
  • Access to the Sofitel’s beautiful gardens

Closing the night – DJ & dancing

The evening concludes with a DJ to celebrate and close out the night in style.

Transportation

  • Shuttle buses will run from the conference venue to the Sofitel prior to the event.
  • There will be an opportunity to stop by your hotel to refresh before the event (based on availability and shuttle capacity).
  • At the end of the evening, shuttles will depart once full and return attendees to designated hotel pick-up and drop-off locations.
