Visa Instructions For EACL’26 Conference

I. The Official Reference Portal

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco provides travelers with a portal that can be used by participants to verify their visa status:

Verification on this site will determine whether the participant is visa-exempt, eligible for the Electronic Visa (e-Visa), subject to a Physical Visa, or eligible for the AEVM (Electronic Travel Authorization).

II. Crucial Instructions for Status Verification

When filling out the online verification form, it is essential to follow the specific instructions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the purpose of the conference:

Nationality/Country Citizenship [Participant's Nationality] In case of multiple nationalities, indicate the nationality of the passport used for the trip.
Country of Usual Residence [Current Country of Residence]
Document type (Passport) [Select the appropriate type] Choose 'Ordinary Passport' unless you are traveling on a Diplomatic, Special, or Service passport.
Are you participating in an event in Morocco? No CRITICAL: This field is reserved for major events (e.g., CAN, Interpol) in direct collaboration with the Ministry. For your conference, you must select "NO".
Purpose of the Trip EVENT MANDATORY: This field must indicate the purpose is the conference. If "EVENT" is not available, choose "Business / Affaires".
Do you have another valid visa? [Select the valid visa OR NONE] Used to determine immediate e-Visa eligibility if the participant holds a valid Schengen, USA, UK, etc., visa or residence permit.

Once the status is verified, the participant must follow the instructions displayed on the website (e-Visa application, AEVM, or consular contact for a physical visa).
